by the President of CCSL.

Coaches
may not cancel games without the notification of the President, Referee
Assignor, and opposing team coach.
-
Games
will be canceled for thunder and lightning immediately, and the players

Uniforms
We
have upgraded our uniform package to a reversible jersey that will be used
county-wide. The uniforms will remain property of the league and
used in progressive years.
Parents
are responsible for the return of the shirts and shorts after the last
game of the season.
Upon return
of the uniform, each player will receive his/her team T-Shirt to keep.
Parents will have the option to purchase additional team T-Shirts.
In the
event that the uniform is not turned in after the last game, the player
will not receive their trophy and/or photos. In addition, the parent will
be billed for the cost of the uniform.
Drug-Free
Environment
Cherokee
County Soccer League promotes a drug-free environment. The use of tobacco,
alcohol and drugs is banned from the Soccer Complex for all including coaches,
staff, players, and spectators.
Age
Group Designations
Players
will be placed on teams appropriate to their age based upon the NCYSA guidelines.
That policy states the player's age group is determined by the child's
age on or before August 1st.
If a child
wishes to play on a team in the next higher age bracket, for the safety
of the child, he/she will be given the opportunity to undergo an assessment
based on skill and maturity.
Assessments,
when necessary, will be held at at the soccer field located behind Coates
American in Marble at a predetermined time.
The child
will be evaluated by a committee of youth coaches who will report their
determination to the Board. The Board will then inform the parents and
child of the decision.
If the
child does not attend the assessment, he/she will be placed on a team appropriate
to their age based upon the NCYSA guidelines.
No child
will be allowed to play higher than one age level above its current age.
No child can play in an age group lower than their age as of August 1st.
Rules of the Game for Parents
and Spectators
All participants
need to keep their comments about referees to themselves. The referees
are doing the best they can. They are all certified referees and what they
say goes.
All calls
on the field are final.Take all your complaints to the coach of your team
or Carlton Van Horn, after the games are finished for the day.
Do Not
complain to the coaches during the game. They are trying to watch all the
kids on the field, their own players as well as the other team's players.
Do Not
try to coach your child's team from the sidelines unless YOU are the coach.
It is distracting to the players. If you want to help, then come
to the practices and volunteer to help with the team and learn how your
coach wants the kids to play.
CHEERING
ON OF YOUR TEAM AND THE OTHER TEAMS ARE GREATLY ENCOURAGED!!!
POSITIVE
ATTITUDES BRING POSITIVE RESULTS FOR YOUR CHILD AND THE TEAM.
REMEMBER
THERE ARE NO STAR PLAYERS, THIS IS NOT A GAME WON ON INDIVIDUAL MERITS.
SOCCER IS A GAME WON ON TEAM EFFORT.
ALL OUR
COACHES AND REFEREES ARE VOLUNTEERS, REMEMBER TO THANK THEM FOR THEIR TIME
AND EFFORT.
Please
help us keep the fields clean of litter. Every little bit helps.
Parking
in the designated areas only. DO NOT BLOCK the emergency access
area. This area should remain open from the fields all the way to
the pavement.
THANK
YOU FOR ENTRUSTING US WITH YOUR CHILDREN'S CARE DURING ALL THE PRACTICES
AND GAMES! WE WILL DO OUR UTMOST TO MAKE SURE EVERY CHILD IS TREATED
FAIRLY AND GETS AND EQUAL CHANCE TO PLAY.
NO SMOKING
on the soccer fields. If you must; please limit it to the parking
area. Thank You!
If you
would like a copy of the rules of the game for your age group contact your
coach. He or she can get you a copy.
Please
be advised that inappropriate behavior toward any player, parent, coach,
referee, visitor (in other words everyone else) may result in your child
and yourself being asked not to play
or visit the soccer complex.
